Picked up this used Cannondale Trail 5 as a first real mountain bike and it has been a solid choice. The frame feels sturdy and handles local singletrack fine. Being used, it came with some scuffs and the drivetrain needed a quick tune, which is expected. For the price, it is a great way to get into trail riding without spending a lot. If you want a dependable hardtail to learn on, this is worth a look.
