I picked up the Union Canvas Shoes mainly for flat pedal riding, and they do the job well. The Ultratac outsole grips nicely, and the custom hex lugs really lock onto the pins. Stiff enough for long pedal stretches thanks to the molded internal plate, but comfortable walking around town too. The reinforced toe has already saved me from a couple of rock strikes. Lace-keeper is a small touch that works. Styling is laid back enough that I wear them off the bike as well.
