I picked up the DH-R EVO HD-M846 for my enduro build and the difference over my old brakes is noticeable right away. The forged lever body feels solid in hand, and the dimpled alloy blade gives good grip even with gloves on. Lever reach adjustment was easy to dial in. The 4-piston caliper paired with 2.3mm rotors gives strong, consistent stopping power on steep descents, and the resin pads bedded in quickly with less noise than expected. Heat stability has been solid on long park laps. Good option for gravity, enduro, or E-MTB riders wanting reliable braking.
